Vehicles in our impound lot

Has the Lévis police department or the Sûreté du Québec seized or impounded your vehicle? We know you need your car to get around. Our goal is to make it available as quickly as possible once the impound conditions have been met.

We ask that you schedule an appointment to prepare the necessary documents and collect your vehicle. Call 418-837-1951.

How do I collect my vehicle after it has been seized or impounded?

Impounded vehicle

Has your vehicle been impounded? It will be held for a brief period while you straighten out certain details.

This mainly involves rectifying a violation of the law. The police officer who impounded your vehicle will inform you of the release conditions. If not, contact the police department in question. You must then let us know when you will come to our offices to pick up your vehicle. It is important that you have the form authorizing the release of your vehicle.

In addition to a $102 towing fee, you will pay a daily impoundment fee ($30/day) and a $20 impounded vehicle management fee.

Seized vehicle

A vehicle can be seized for different reasons and for different lengths of time. We invite you to consult this document:

What happens to my vehicle after an accident?

If you were involved in an accident and left the scene by ambulance, we take care of your vehicle. It will be towed to our impound lot, a well-lit, fenced-in area equipped with surveillance cameras. First, you must contact your insurance company and tell them that your vehicle has been taken to TRT. The insurance company will then take charge of your vehicle, depending on your insurance policy, and you will be given a courtesy car while decisions are being made and/or work is being done on your vehicle. Your insurance company will give you further instructions.

Collecting your personal effects

If you need to collect any personal effects from your vehicle, you can do so during our business hours.

Snow removal operations

If your vehicle was towed during a snow removal operation in your neighbourhood, you can collect it the next morning, starting at 6:30 a.m. The same towing fees mentioned in the Impounded Vehicles paragraph above apply.
